The ultimate “BTS Tour”: Top 3 places you should visit before BTS’ comeback

It’s been almost half a year since Jin left for his required military service. Ever since then, we, so called Army, have been waiting and hoping for their comeback. However, it will take some time to see all seven of them performing in one screen due to realistic obstacles such as military duties.

I know it’s still quite entertaining to go through their old performances and videos, but I brought some fresh ones for you, which you probably have never seen or heard of.

Take a moment to follow through this post and find out the perfect places to connect with BTS emotionally and physically.

1. Shinan Purple Island

“I PURPLE YOU” photo zone in Shinan Purple Island.

Shinan Purple island, was known for its stunning lavender fields that cover significant portion of the island among both domestic and international tourists.

Nowadays, Shinan Purple island is more known for the color that’s covering the island itself.

“I Purple You”, is a phrase that V (Tae-hyung) created during the fan meeting, which signifies a deep and lasting love and affection. Ever since then, the color purple has became the identity and connection between BTS and Army.

As we are in time where we can’t see all seven of them together due to realistic issues, I suggest you to visit Shinan Purple Island to reflect on the message it is giving to us as ARMY. Picturesque landscape that is created by purple-hued lavender field will bring you back to the early days you have spent with BTS.

Visiting Shinan Purple island will help you reflect on the journey you and BTS have been through, and will provide you a heart warming memories.

*Most Korean Thing’s tip: The lavender field blooms around June and July, so plan your visit around those days!

2. BTS bus stop

Bus stop from ‘You Never Walk Alone’ album jacket cover.

BTS bus stop is the spot that BTS fans around the world chose as the No. 1 “BTS attraction that they want to visit the most.”

This bus stop is located in ‘Hyang-ho beach’, a well known filming location for Korean drama, ‘Goblin’. As a fan, a photo spot that was on your artist’s album jacket is very rare and meaningful. Looking for a place that contains numerous photo spots as a BTS fan? This place has it all.

This place is remarkable as you can feel the energy BTS had in their early days, where they passed through multiple obstacles to succeed as a K-pop artist. You can follow their up and downs by listening to the BTS playlist that’s being played in the bus stop from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

*Most Korean Things tip: Cheapest way to get to the BTS bus stop is through using intercity bus. Set your destination to Jumunjin Express Bus Terminal and from there, take bus No. 300 and get off at Jumunjin Beach bus stop.

3. Iryeong Station

V at the ‘Iryeong station’ from the music video of ‘Spring Day’

‘Iryeong station’ is a filming location for the ‘Spring day’ music video. Personally, ‘Spring Day’ is my favorite song among BTS’ playlist because its lyric depicts my journey with BTS from day one.

Snowflakes fall down
And fall apart little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait
And how many nights do I have to pass
To see you?

Spring Days-BTS

I believe most of us will feel the same. We miss Jin, J-hope, and we miss all seven of them performing and smiling in one stage. Until then, all we can do is to go over the path which BTS has came through, so we can connect ourselves to them deeply.

Iryeong station is a perfect spot to visit if you are ARMY, especially someone who miss BTS. You will feel the emotions BTS members felt once you get there.

*Most Korean Things tip: Try to visit during winter, as the railroads and the station will look exactly the same from the music video.
